Mark, my almost-9yr-old, hit a new milestone yesterday. Not only was it the first day back to school after winter break...it was also the first morning that he spent in the bathroom styling his own hair for school! He came down to breakfast with gel in his hair and deodorant in his pits.
Wow! He is growing up sooo darn fast! I had to buy him his first stick of deodorant this year, when I started to catch whifs of B.O. whenever he passed by. I almost cried when I presented him with the 'grown-up' product. He was thrilled, and piled layers and layers on his skin. But I wanted to cry, because it's just another sign that he is growing up so quickly.
Now it's the hair gel.
I'm not ready for this chubby cheeked angel to grow up!
What's next?? Cologne?? Abercrombie?? Cell phones??
Oh my goodness! Lord, give me strength!
