Mark wanted a 'boy' so he could name it Blitz. His first choice for a dog was either a Beagle or a Pug. I wanted either a tiny yorkie-poo or a Puggle (beagle/pug mix) because they are the cutest puppies I've ever seen. Reese wanted an 'Otis' dog, like the movie Milo and Otis. And Marina wanted a 'Sandy' dog, like on the movie Annie.
So, we went to the pet store to find our puppy. We played with a cockapoo, which Rina believed was Sandy, but it was too nervous and afraid to even move. Yeah, no fun. Then we played with a tiny, 8wk old Puggle! I fell in love with her immediately! But Mark pointed out the fact that it was a 'girl' and we could not name her Blitz. Hmmm....
As we were playing with her, she kept chewing on our shoelaces. Suddenly, Mark told us, "We could name her Lacey!" Sweet! So, we were all onboard with choosing Lacey. And on Monday evening, we went back to pick her up and bring her home to be our very first family pet. Introducing little Lacey Brody:
