I've started using my juicer. It's crazily addicting!!! I feel so much energy on this vegetarian menu that I've actually kicked the coffee habit. A 3-year habit of downing 2 cups of coffee a morning, just to wake me up.......GONE!!! No w/drawal or headaches. Weird!
And, seriously, my craving for junk food=completely GONE!!!
I may take a bite of a chip or and sip of a soda...and I have to push it away b/c it is completely unappealing to me anymore. So, so weird!!! What I crave now are my fruit/veggie juices, my baked sweet potato for lunch, and my fruit/protein blend for snack. Here's the recipe for the fruit/protein blend. I 'borrowed' it from my fave coffee shop:
1 Cup Frozen Fruit (you can easily buy a bag of frozen fruit at a grocery store)
1 Cup Soy Milk
1 Tablespoon Flaxseed Oil (also can be purchased at any grocery store)
1 Serving Protein Powder...optional (I added this ingredient on my own, just for an extra protein boost)
Blend it up and it's a really good, nutritious alternative to those high-cal Foo-Foo drinks that I've been drinking for years!
Next step=start working out!!!

You may want to check the amount of sugar in that bag of frozen fruit. May not be as healthy as you think!!!
Well...my favorite drinks before were the Starbucks' White Chocolate Mocha (470 calories, 18 grams fat & 59 grams sugar) and the Starbucks' Caffe Mocha w/ Caramel (350 calories, 15 grams fat & 38 grams sugar). Yuck!
In comparison, my fruit blends weigh in at 70 calories, 0 grams fat & 13 grams sugar (the soy milk tacks on only 1 more gram sugar). So, it seems I've cut about 400 calories, 18 grams fat & 59 grams sugar...just in one drink!!! Worth it to me. :)
